You want to write a debate, so try to keep your tone lighthearted and friendly, but also carefully articulate all points of view.You need to be aware of the text options you have at hand, as well. The most common is to include quotes. Theseare very helpful in showing where one opinion is not aligned with the other. They also show the other person's opinion, which could be very helpful in finding a common ground.Just because you find an unpopular opinion does not mean that you can discredit the idea, nor should you make a mockery of it. It will only make the other person more likely to get upset and lose their perspective. Instead, offer an alternate point of view, or explain why you think the other person's point of view is wrong.It's important to start off with the basics, but always keep it interesting. There are many more options, and you should be able to find something that you can tackle.
